Now that you are booked and ready to experience all the magic that Disney has to offer, here are some fun tips to help your experience at the parks and on the Disney Cruise ships!

Let’s break it down by theme parks:

Take advantage of everything free!

WDW and Disneyland off free buttons with special celebrations. Ex: birthdays, anniversaries, wedding/honeymoon, and most important the first time you have visited!

If you are staying on Disney property these will be given to you at check-in! If you choose to do your check in on the My Disney Experience app, then you simply can visit the front desk and they will gladly give you these special buttons!

If you are not staying on Disney property and would like a free button, please visit Guest Services at the theme park you are visiting!

Water! Don’t forget to bring your own water bottle to the theme parks and on the cruises! There are water stations found throughout the theme parks. Also, you can ask for a cup of water at any quick service restaurant.

Swimming at your resort—take advantage of your resorts swimming pool! There are great slides, pools and activities for the little ones to participate in! They have dance parties and games guided by a cast member.

Movies and roasting marshmallows! At select WDW resorts they will host Disney movies on the lawn, you are welcome to bring your own snacks and enjoy with your family!

Also, at select WDW resorts you can roast marshmallows!

***At the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds Chip & Dale will join in on the fun! Check times and days as these events are subject to change.

Parades and stage shows! Disney parades are epic and one of the best ways to see those characters! Make sure you get a seat along the parade route 30 mins prior to the parade start time. This is a good time to use your WDW dining plan snacks! Popcorn, churros and Mickey shaped pretzels for everyone!

What to pack:

Comfortable walking shoes

Small travel size umbrella or ponchos

Reusable Water bottles

Autograph book and pen

Disney themed shirts and Minnie Ears headbands!

Hats and sunglasses

Sunscreen

Small battery operated fan

Pin lanyard and extra pins for pin trading

Disney Cruise Line(DCL):

How magical to be able to sail the high seas with Mickey and all of his pals!

The DCL is an incredible experience with wonderful broadway style shows, onboard entertainment, childcare kid and teen clubs, adult only areas, and a special visit to Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay (pronounced “key”)

Be aware of your booking dates and the further out you can book your cruise the better rates and rooms choices you have! We like staying midship and anywhere from Deck 6 to Deck 9! We tend to be closer to the elevators and always have a Deluxe Family Stateroom with a verandah!
